Healing takes place within us when we speak the truth of our lives. Commitment to truth telling is thus the first step to self-recovery.

about me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I became a therapist because I understand what’s at stake for individuals and communities who have survived intergenerational trauma. My goal is to help you put a name to the feelings you experience and to give you the tools to manage stressors and live a more balanced life.

To work with my clients, I draw from over a decade of experience providing talk therapy and non-profit capacity building services. Emotional health is a collaborative effort, and my goal is to work with you and any other healthcare providers you may have to ensure that you have comprehensive care. Most importantly, I approach therapy by relating to my patients through common human experiences.

When I am not working, I enjoy playing soccer, golfing and trying new craft beers. My family and friends are the greatest motivation for the work that I do, especially my wife Megan and our son Holston. Fun fact: Our German Shepherd, Burghardt, is named after famous writer and sociologist William Edward Burghardt (W.E.B.) Du Bois.
